The First Tee® is national program of youth development that uses golf as the vehicle for teaching life skills and the nine core values: Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy, and Judgment.

The mission of The First Tee is:  "To impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote positive character development and life enhancing values through the game of golf".

Q: When does the next session start?
A: Spring session starts the first week of March 2014

Q: How do I sign up?
A: Registration forms will be available online at starting January 5 . Please fill out and mail, fax or email to the chapter office:

Q: When can I register?
A: Registration opens January 15. To ensure your junior’s space in the class (class sizes are limited) please send in prior to beginning of session. In order to ensure safe numbers of students in each class and appropriate numbers of coaches we strongly discourage bringing in registration form the first day of class!!!

Q: How much does it cost?
A: $79 if you sign up for before February 15. $89 if you sign up after Feb 16
Financial assistance is available. NO CHILD WILL BE DENIED DUE TO FINANCIAL REASONS

Q: How long is the program?
A: Once a week for 10 weeks . The Summer and Fall sessions begin 6/1 and 9/7 respectively

Q: How do I become a volunteer?
A: Visit our website at for more information on how to become a volunteer. There are many different volunteer opportunities from coaching, to office and admin assistance and special events. If a volunteer would like to become a coach, there will be coache s trainings available Saturdays in Feb. including one at Boundary Oak on 2/1. All volunteers must submit an application, have background check and in person interview with the Program Director Monica Sanders.
