There are actually two Boundary Oak Women's Golf Clubs, the 9 hole group and the 18 hole group. These are two separate clubs, so membership information, tournaments and event schedules are different.
Women's 18-Hole Golf Club
The Women's 18 Hole Golf Club plays on Thursday mornings. Tee times vary with the time of year.
The requirements for joining are:
- Must have a valid USGA handicap index of no more than 37.5
- Must be over 18 years of age
For membership fees and an application click here. The Membership person, Judy Malone, can be contacted at (925) 228-8786 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Membership booklets, with more detailed information (including a yearly schedule of tournaments, events and meetings) are also available in the golf shop.
Women's 9-Hole Golf Club
The Women's 9 Hole Golf Club plays each Tuesday morning from January through November. Tee times vary with the time of year.
There are currently openings for new members.
The Membership process is as follows:
If you do not currently have a handicap we invite you to come out on Tuesday mornings and "follow the field." Providing there is space, you will play in the last available foursome after all members have teed off. Keep an accurate scorecard and have it attested. Contact our Membership Chairperson if you would like to "follow the field".
You may apply for membership when:
- You have ten attested scorecards of nine hole golf
- Five of the ten rounds are at Boundary Oak
- All rounds are within 6 months of your application
Once you submit the application and your scorecards your handicap will be calculated. For full membership your scores must result in an index of 27 or less. A gross 9 hole score of approximately 60 at Boundary Oak is your target. If your handicap/index is too high you may still become an associate member and establish a handicap on our computer. You may continue to post your scores until the target is achieved
If you have and established 9 or 18 hole handicap/index you must furnish our handicap chairman with a copy of your current computer rating card. Again, your index must meet the maximum of 27.
The current annual membership fees are $31.00 for full membership and $12.50 for associate membership plus handicap computer fees. Your $12.50 will be credited towards full membership if the target index is achieved within the same year as your associate membership. To maintain membership you must play a minimum of ten rounds per year and attend at least two general membership business meetings.
